Patch Staff Report

Tthe State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA) has launched the “Pay n Go” Peach Pass, a prepaid Peach Pass option that can be purchased at participating CVS and Walgreens stores in Georgia where gift cards and prepaid cards are sold.

Drivers can immediately use the I-85 Express Lanes after purchasing and mounting a Pay n Go Peach Pass. These customers can decide to keep their cash-based account and reload the card at the cash register, or convert to a regular Peach Pass account and to earn free toll credits and receive other customer-friendly benefits.

“SRTA is proud to offer motorists a new and convenient way to access the I-85 Lanes with the Pay n Go Peach Pass,” SRTA Executive Director Christopher Tomlinson said in a release. “The Pay n Go Peach Pass provides drivers with more payment options to enjoy a reliable commute with the flexibility to open or add funds to their account with the amount that they choose.”

The Pay n Go Peach Pass automatically deducts tolls when using the electronic toll lanes, but does not automatically add funds when the account balance is low. Customers can reload toll value when they choose in the amount they choose ($20-$500) at participating retailers.

There are two Pay n Go Peach Pass options for drivers:

Pay n Go Peach Pass customers do not submit vehicle and contact information upon activation. As a result, these customers do not have access to the online customer service center or the Peach Pass GO! mobile app. It is critical that Pay n Go Peach Pass customers monitor their account balances closely by calling 1-855-847-5071 and entering the number on their Peach Pass when prompted.

Pay n Go customers are eligible to convert to a regular Peach Pass account, which will allow access to their account online and through the mobile app. Once converted, customers can easily view their account status and transactions, change their toll mode, pay fines for violations and get timely updates from SRTA’s Peach Pass Customer Service Center. In addition, each Pay n Go Peach Pass customer who converts to a regular account receives $5 in toll credits. Conversion is easy – just call the Peach Pass Customer Service Center at 1-855-PCH-PASS (724-7277) with the number printed on the Pay n Go Peach Pass.

Customers can locate participating stores by using the zip code search feature on www.PeachPass.com.
