Nearby: Sandy Springs Recycling Center Open for Christmas Tree Drop-offs

The recycling center has has already experienced a flow of of folks dropping off Christmas trees.


The Sandy Springs Recycling Center is open through New Year's Eve for drop-offs of Christmas trees, unwanted holiday decorations and more. Decorations must be separated from trees in advance.

Hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. todaym and 8 a.m.- 4 p.m., Monday. Regular hours are 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday; 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday; and 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Sunday.

Forms are available for free mulch from Davey Trees. A special "Bring One for the Chipper" event will be held next Saturday. Trees will be chipped into mulch by The Davey Tree Expert Company. The mulch will be used for public beautification projects.

Residents may also drop off undecorated trees at these locations:

  • The Home Depot at 6400 Peachtree Dunwoody Road, Sandy Springs
  • Sandy Springs Recycling Center, 470 Morgan Falls Rd., Sandy Springs
  • The Home Depot, 5950 State Bridge Rd., Johns Creek
