Nearby Dunwoody: Cokie Roberts to Discuss Career and Recent Book

The political commentator and former co-anchor of 'This Week' will appear at the Davis Academy on Roberts Drive.

Cokie Roberts, political commentator for both ABC News and National Public Radio, will discuss her career and books at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 5, at The Davis Academy Lower School. The event is free and open to the public.

Roberts co-anchored the Sunday morning show, “This Week” with Sam Donaldson from 1996-2002. She has won three Emmy’s, along with numerous other awards, during her 40 plus years in broadcasting.

She has written several bestselling books, including “We Are Our Mothers’ Daughters, From This Day Forward,” which she co-wrote with her husband Steven V. Roberts; and “Our Haggadah: Uniting Traditions for Interfaith Families.”

Her brand new (and first) children’s book, “Founding Mothers: Remembering the Ladies” introduces young readers to the women who helped forge our nation -- from Abigail Adams to Martha Washington.
