Monarchs and Margaritas Gala Set for March 29

Monarchs and Margaritas, the gala benefiting the Dunwoody Nature Center, will be held Saturday, March 29.

Monarchs and Margaritas, the gala benefiting the Dunwoody Nature Center, will be held Saturday, March 29, at the South Terraces Atrium in Perimeter Center.

This year’s event will feature dinner by Eclipse di Luna, entertainment from Francisco Vidal, signature cocktails, desserts and coffees of Café Intermezzo, and an array of auction items, according to a news release.

Event Chair Jany Brown said, “This year we will be featuring several unique items at our live auction. We have been extremely fortunate for the support we have received from throughout the metro area.”

Of particular note is a one-of-a-kind commissioned canvas painting from famed artist Steve Penley, a week’s vacation in a two-bedroom, two bath apartment in Paris, and a hand crafted dollhouse – a replica of Dunwoody’s iconic farm house.

Looking for a special gift for that special someone (or yourself)? Then you won’t want to miss out on opportunities to score some great deals: a four-course dinner with wine pairings at South City Kitchen, an Apple iPad Mini, or a Big Green Egg.

Or, aim for great travel packages like two round trip airline tickets anywhere in the U.S. from Southwest Airlines, four one-day Disney World Park Hopper passes, and several beach and mountain vacation homes. For those who want to enjoy a unique experience closer to home, how about a private wine tasting for 12, season tickets to the Alliance Theatre, or an after-hours private hike at the Nature Center topped off with s ‘mores and a warm fire.

About the Dunwoody Nature Center

Located on a 22 acre parcel of Dunwoody Park, the Nature Center offers hiking trails, picnic areas, and Wildcat Creek. Last year at the Nature Center, over 13,000 visitors participated in classes, camps, and other family events.

Last year’s Monarchs & Margaritas event helped to raise more than $30,000 for the Nature Center - money which was reinvested back into the community through free and discounted events such as the summer concert series, Friday Night Hikes, field trip scholarships; and in making needed improvements to the park grounds and facilities.
