MJCCA Brings Church to Pets

Rabbis will bless pets and deceased pets at an event Sunday.

You’ve probably heard of 'bring your dog to work day', but to church?

Well you can, sort of. The Marcus Jewish Community Center is holding a blessing and a pet ceremony at Brook Run Park from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.

All are invited. Rabbu Brian Glausman and Rabbi Analia Bortz will recite prayers foir pets and include memorial thoughts for deceased pets.

The pets will be individually recognized. People are encouraged to bring well behaved pets on leashes. Pet adopyions will also be a part of the event.

Β A food truck and pet toys and treats will also be available. Β
