MARTA riders can expect delays this weekend

Red line route to the airport will be modified

Rail riders in Dunwoody will face delays this weekend and modifications to routes, as scheduled work on MARTA’s tracks will slow and change the schedule for the Red and Gold lines, according to MARTA officials.

The delays will begin 9 p.m. Friday. At that time, all lines will run on a slower, 24-minute schedule. Slower times on the Red and Gold lines will continue Saturday and Sunday.

Key changes:

  • Riders traveling from the North Springs station south to the Airport will need to transfer to the Gold Line at Lindbergh station to continue south. The change starts at 9 p.m. Friday and continues through Saturday. Begins again at 9 p.m. Sunday.
  • Riders coming to the North Springs station north from the Airport station will need to transfer to the Gold Line at Lindbergh station to continue north. The change starts at 9 p.m. Friday and continues through Saturday. Begins again at 9 p.m. Sunday.
  • All trains will board on the southbound platform at Brookhaven and Chamblee stations. The change starts 9 p.m. Friday and continues through Sunday.
