Lemonade Days to be held in Brook Run Park

Event will run from April 18 to 22

The city’s annual Lemonade Days will be held at Brook Run Park from April 18 to 22.

The multi-day event will be much the same as prior years, organizers say. This year, additional rides, more diverse food, extended hours and additional activities will be offered.

The event will again feature Bike Ride Around Dunwoody. It will be the fourth year for the event, which helps raise funds to purchase and install bike racks around the city and raise bike awareness in the community, say organizers.

The weekend part of the event will include a face painting booth and a petting zoo. Also, the Dunwoody Arts and Crafts Guild will present the works of Southeastern artisans for sale.

The city’s annual Lemonade Days will pay this year to help restore a city landmark: the Donaldson-Bannister House.

The farmhouse, on the corner of Chamblee-Dunwoody and Vermack roads, became a city park last year and it’s in need of significant repair and refurbishment, say organizers.

Fundraising has always been at the core of the festival. Through Lemonade Days, the Dunwoody Preservation Trust has raised money for replanting trees in the aftermath of a tornado and also restored the Dunwoody Farmhouse.
