Great Escape: TimeGate 2011

Escape from time and reality without leaving Dunwoody.

Escape from not only your family obligations and chores, but also time and reality at the 6th annual TimeGate Convetion. Attracting over 400 participants, TimeGate is an annual science fiction/fantasy convention that focuses on Doctor Who and Stargate, but also includes programming on other sci-fi/fantasy interests.

If you're into Stargate SG-1, Doctor Who, Stargate Atlantis, Torchwood or The Sarah Jane Adventures—or you're excited about the new show Stargate Universe—this is the convention for you! But if not, they'll also have Star Trek, Battlestar, Star Wars, Heroes, literary, horror and comics programming too, along with many other topics.

Held at the Holiday Inn Select Perimeter, the convention events include a guest reception, gaming, Masquerade, live music, Q&As, panels, special screenings, and guest signings, photo ops and more. A portion of the proceeds from the Saturday’s Cabaret event will go to Atlanta Habitat for Humanity.

Kathy, thanks very much for the kind write up about TimeGate! Its much appreciated. I hope that everyone who attends has a fantastic time. Our two guests of honor are Sophie Aldred, who played Ace on 'Doctor Who' 1987 - 1989, and Mike Dopud, who just finished his stint as Varro on Stargate Universe and is now working on the upcoming 'Battlestar Galactica' series "Blood and Chrome". Thanks once again, ~Alan Programming Coordinator TimeGate
