Great Escape: Movies on Friday the 13th

Superstition holds Friday the 13th to be bad luck and there is even an established term, triskaidekaphobia, for the fear of Friday the 13th. This Friday is the only time that the day and month coincide in 2011.

To honor the occasion, we suggest you rent the original “Friday the 13th” movie or any of the 11 other films in the series featuring Jason and his hockey mask.

With the last Blockbuster store in Dunwody recently closing, rental kiosks have come to your rescue. Redbox and Blockbuster Express kiosks have one-night DVD rentals for $1 with Redbox also having $1.50 Blu-Ray rentals. Both machines ask you to scan your credit card, which will be charged according to when you return the movie. Movies are returnable to any kiosk location, as long as you return Redbox to Redbox kiosks and Blockbuster Express to Blockbuster Express kiosks.
