Get out an about with your family this weekend in Dunwoody.

  •     DIVE INTO SHABBAS - SHABBAT DINNER

When/Where: 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the , 5342 Tilly Mill Rd

Why go: The entire community is invited to welcome Shabbat with this family-friendly dinner pool party. Open swim begins at 4:00 with poolside songs and prayers with Rabbi Brian Glusman beginning at 6:00 pm. Dinner will include hot dogs, hamburgers, coleslaw, chips, watermelon, dessert, and drinks. The pool will be open until 7:00 pm. Dinner Package Reservations required by June 1.

  • TIM REDOVIAN SCHOLARSHIP FUND CONCERT 

When/ Where: 7 p.m. on Friday at 1445 Mount Vernon Rd.

Why go: The annual showcase of Tim Redovian Memorial Fund scholarship winners features musical performances not to be missed! Admission is free and donations are accepted. Dessert reception follows the show. The TRMF's mission is to perpetuate Tim Redovian’s memory by providing funding and scholarship awards to talented students, who desire to develop to their full potential through continued studies, with special emphasis in the area of the performing arts.

  • DUNWOODY SOAP BOX DERBY

When/Where: 8:30 a.m. opening ceremony, Races start at 9 a.m. Saturday at the , 4400 N Peachtree Rd

Why go: Presented by The Dunwoody Kiwanis Club for boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 17, this is the 4th year for the Dunwoody Soap Box Derby - a qualifying event for the All-American Soap Box Derby to be held in Akron, OH. Added this year, is the Super Kids Race for children with disabilities.

How much: Free.

  • HARRIS JACOBS DREAM RUN

When/Where: 7:45 a.m. starts the 2K Fun Run/Walk, 8 a.m. starts the 4 Mile Run/Racewalk Sunday at , 5342 Tilly Mill Rd.

Why go: Whether you’re training for the Peachtree Road Race or enjoying a walk through the neighborhoods of Dunwoody, your registration will help kids participate in the MJCCA’s outstanding sports programs. All entrants receive an event t-shirt and a chance to win fabulous door prizes! Parking and shuttle service from Georgia Perimeter College begins at 6:45 AM.
