Get out & about in Dunwoody this weekend.

KINGSLEY CHARTER TRANSITIONING MEETING

When/Where: 5:30 p.m. Friday at , 2051 Brendon Dr.

Why go: Chesnut and other families transitioning to Kingsley next school year with rising 1st through 5th graders are encouraged to attend the Transitioning Family Meeting. During this meeting, we will address numerous topics including transfer procedures, registration, transportation, volunteering, after school care, and much more. Childcare will be provided by teachers in two classrooms with activities for children of lower and upper grades. Because this meeting overlaps the dinner hour, our Council will provide pizza for attending parents and children.

SOAP BOX DERBY CLINIC

When/Where: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday at , 2443 Mt Vernon Rd

Why go: In anticipation of the Dunwoody Soap Box Derby, the Knights of Columbus will be hosting a car building clinic. The clinic will take place in McGivney Hall, located behind All Saints Catholic Church.

How much: Free.

 

CHILDREN’S BIKE RODEO

When/Where: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday at , 4770 N Peachtree Rd

Why go: Come out and have your child's bicycle and safety equipment checked.  Children will be able learn the importance of riding a bicycle safely and have hands-on practice for the skills and precautions they need to develop to have a safe time on their bicycles.

How much: Free.

A GRAND NIGHT FOR SINGING

When/Where: 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday matinee at 2:30 p.m. at , 5339 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd.

Why go: Don’t miss opening weekend! Stage Door Players presents this revue of the Rodgers & Hammerstein canon.  The show runs until June 5th.

COMMUNITY POOL PARTY

When/Where: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the , 5342 Tilly Mill Rd

Why go: Wear your favorite flip flops and bring your neighbors to the J to enjoy music, outdoor pools, splash park, inflatable bounce house, lunch by Goodfriend’s Grill, giveaways, prizes and even enter for a chance to win a tennis resort getaway!
