Five Things to Do This Weekend (Oct. 21-23): Music Festival, RunDunwoody, Halloween Prep

Welcome to "Five Things You Need to Know for the Weekend," a Dunwoody Patch column that sifts through the long list of events competing for your time to offer our pick of five things worth doing with your time off.

Correction: Saturday's showtime for Broadway Baby! is at 7 p.m. at Dunwoody United Methodist Church.

1. It’s music time again in Dunwoody. and runs through the end of the day Sunday. To get into the gate is $5. Tickets for the main stage concert, which starts at 7 p.m. Saturday, is $12.95.

2. Run for the Rotary and help fund educational causes. The Rotary’s 2011 RunDunwoody race is Sunday morning. The starts at 8 a.m.

3. Head to l Saturday morning at 10 a.m.. Enjoy treats from the 5th Grade Concession stand and have fun with this year’s attractions including a pumpkin toss, a scarecrow knockdown and other games.

4. Prepare for Halloween. The Disney Store has a at the Perimeter Mall. Each day includes a costume parade, prizes and other events. There are also three pumpkin patches in town. One at the , and .

5. Enjoy the theater. is playing Friday at 7 p.m.,  Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. at . The cost is $10 at the door. is . The Rogers and Hammerstein show, being put on by St. Luke’s ACTUP ministry in conjunction with the City of the South Theater, has shows Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 at the door or can be bought online for $14.
