Five Things To Do This Weekend

A weekly roundup of fun weekend events in Dunwoody.

This is a weekly feature that sifts through the events going on in the area to present you the best ones to spend your time with this weekend.

Looking for a family friendly event to kick off the weekend? Go to Barnes and Noble 7 p.m. Friday for pajama-rama story-time where the classic tale "Polar Express" will be read to kids. Cocoa, cookies and popcorn will be served.

Want to catch a holiday play? Stage Door Players is putting a spin on the classic holiday movie "It's a Wonderful Life." At 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday the players will do the classic as a 1940s radio broadcast.

There's still time to get your Christmas cards ready. You can take professional photos with Santa and the kids at Perimeter Mall. Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m at the Perimeter Mall.

Help a cause and stay fit. Bring a new unwrapped toy to the Salvation Army Toy Drive at Perimeter Mall at 6:30 a.m to 10 p.m. Saturday. Then come and enjoy a 5K "Jingle Jog", a 1K "Jungle Jog Junior" or a 100-yard "elf run" for the little guys.

Ready to forget some of the holiday shopping duties? A 36-mile bike ride is being hosted by Dunwoody Cycling. They meet for an 8 a.m. ride on Sunday. Riders meet at Chick-fil-A at Mt. Vernon and Abernathy Road.
