Wanna help your communty? An annual Serve Day is scheduled for Dunwoody and Sandy Springs this weekend. People meet at North Atlanta Church of Christ at 7:45 a.m. Saturday and fan out across the community to paint fire hydrants, clean up trash and beautify the community.
Learn to fly fish on the river as part of "Field Day on the Chattahocchee" from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday. The normal entry fee is waived. The family-friendly day includes live animal presentations and free fly fishing instruction along the river.
Looking for some after summer reading? The Friends of the Dunwoody Library are selling books, DVDs, CDs, records and puzzles as part of a fundraiser. The event is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Dunwoody's Stage Door Players are opening their first production of the new season. "Out of Order," written by Ray Cooney, is a farce being performed by the group at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
