Tickets are on sale now for the inaugural October event, which will help provide crisis grants to the Atlanta restaurant community.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has announced a new signature event, the AJC Dunwoody Wine Fest. The inaugural grand tasting will be held on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 1 to 4 p.m., according to a news release.

“The event will offer guests a wonderful afternoon of tastings – both wine and food,” said John Levinson of the AJC. The all-inclusive entertaining experience will feature over 40 distinguished wines along with food from top-tier chefs from dozens of local restaurants.

“The City of Dunwoody and the Dunwoody Convention & Visitors Bureau are pleased to partner with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on this exciting event,” said Michael Starling, Dunwoody economic development director. “We believe this is a tremendous opportunity to showcase all that Dunwoody has to offer and look forward to hosting residents from across Atlanta — and beyond.”

About The Giving Kitchen
Restaurants are the places we recharge, relax and connect.  Countless memories are made when we raise a glass, attend a foodie festival or break bread together.  But all of those special moments would not be possible without the people behind the scenes.  Now we can support members of the Atlanta restaurant community who are impacted by unanticipated hardship through a new nonprofit organization – The Giving Kitchen (TGK).  Charitable donations will fuel a much-needed crisis fund for restaurant workers who are often underinsured and face great difficulties when confronted with health challenges and life emergencies.  Events like the AJC Dunwoody Wine Fest offer the perfect partnership between community events and The Giving Kitchen’s mission to provide crisis to members of Atlanta’s Restaurant Community faced with unanticipated hardship.  From broken limbs and flooded homes to tragic illness, TGK is here to support this hardworking industry.
