Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza Announce New First-to-Retail and Dining Options

Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza, two iconic shopping destinations located in the heart of Buckhead and owned by Simon Property Group, Inc. (NYSE:SPG), a leading global retail real estate company, are delighted to announce the addition of three well-known, first-to-market brands to the Atlanta community. This news complements the recent announcement of Simon’s plans to add 375 residential units to Lenox Square to enhance the signature retail property as a lifestyle destination.

The Buckhead sister properties have attracted a host of sought-after retailers over the years to continue bringing guests more choices.  Lenox Square will soon welcome True Food Kitchenand Zinburger Wine and Burger Bar to its forthcoming remodeled Peachtree Road entrance, while Phipps Plaza will introduce renowned Italian label Giuseppe Zanotti to Atlanta.

“The combination of first-to-market brands and new plans for a residential project further reinforces Simon’s commitment to the premier retail addresses in Buckhead,” said Robin Suggs, Lenox Square general manager. “With ongoing positive momentum and new offerings at both properties, Atlantans will continue to discover something new each time they visit our malls.”

As a major element of Lenox Square’s multi-phase renovation project, the city’s culinary scene will soon have new and notable dining options. The beautifully revamped main entrance will include an iconic two-story glass storefront to house the two new full-service restaurants, dramatically updating the mall’s streetside presence – including a redesigned porte-cochere and enhanced valet amenities for easy access.

Shoppers focused on a healthy, holistic lifestyle will quickly become regulars at True Food Kitchen. Based on Dr. Andrew Weil’s anti-inflammatory diet, the eatery takes popular trends in cuisine and pairs them with healthy living. Menu options such as kale, quinoa, seabuckthorn and acai help customers feel better, live longer, and be confident about the health benefits of their choices.

With an energetic, modern and upbeat atmosphere, Zinburger Wine and Burger Bar offers Lenox Square visitors a mouthwatering selection of gourmet burgers, salads and sides, decadent shakes and desserts, and a carefully crafted array of wines. Its lineup of modestly priced and perfectly paired wine selections complements every style of burger on the menu, and delights in making its customers the happiest on the block.  Zinburger is the latest in a series of recent additions that include Bachrach, Invicta, Sprinkles Cupcakes, Tumi, UGG, and Vince Camuto.

In addition to providing fresh dining options, Simon Property Group has teamed up with The Related Group to offer a residential community in the heart of the Southeast’s retail and dining hub. This project further demonstrates Simon’s commitment to Atlanta, the Buckhead area and Lenox Square.

As Phipps Plaza expands its retail roster, this premier shopping destination continues to focus on providing exclusive brands for Atlanta shoppers. Giuseppe Zanotti is expected to open in the fall of 2013 and will occupy a 1,481 square foot space located on the main level near Court of the South.

The Italian designer started his fashion career in the 1980s with a passion for women’s footwear. He opened his first design boutique in Milan in 2000 and is well-established as a world-famous shoe designer. Zanotti has expanded the brand to boutique locations in Paris, London, Moscow, Dubai, Hong Kong and the United States. The Phipps Plaza location is its fifth boutique in the U.S.

This new retailer will join the recently announced Agent Provocateur, MephistoTrina TurkJack Rogers and a newly renovated Cole Haan at Phipps Plaza.
