Your Security System Can Help Watch Your Child

Its more of the norm nowadays for both parents in a household to work full time jobs.  This causes more and more children to come home to empty houses with no one to make sure that they actually get home.  Even with the holidays fast approaching kids will be out of school on break and parents will still have to continue to work, so how do working parents keep an eye on the little ones? With their home alarm systems of course.  Today's home alarm systems have many features that can allow parents to monitor the comings and goings out of the house, set up notifications to let them know if the child isn't home by a certain time and parents can even add cameras to the system that would allow them to watch what is going on even though they can not psychically be there. Now with most home alarm systems parents can be notified on a smart device when the system has been armed and disarmed.  Parents could track when and if their child is really at home.  This is also helpful if you know your child is leaving the house to make sure that they arm the system and with the interactive features now offered you can even arm the system from your phone.
With these newer interactive features you can also set up alerts that will notify you if the alarm was not disarmed by a certain time.  This will let the parents know that their child has not yet arrived home and can take the proper steps to find their whereabouts.
Another option would be to add home video cameras to your existing security system.  This would allow you to access your home and know exactly what is happening in the home in real time.  You as a parent can actually confirm that your child is safe in the house with no unwanted guest.
Using your home alarm system is a great way to keep an eye on your kids without sacrificing the time that you need to spend at the office.
