Update: The water main break reported on Ashford Dunwoody Road between Johnson Ferry Road and Peachtree Road has been temporarily patched. The road is now completely open and water has been restored to residents. DeKalb County crews plan to make a permanent patch after rush hour traffic on Wednesday morning.Original post: Brookhaven city officials are advising drivers Tuesday afternoon to avoid Ashford Dunwoody Road between Johnson Ferry Road and Peachtree Road due to a water main break.
As DeKalb County crews work to make repairs, traffic is limited to only one lane at this location.
Drivers should take Johnson Ferry Road to Peachtree Road as a detour. Repairs are expected to take several hours and last through the Tuesday evening rush hour traffic.
