Bring One for the Chipper - Christmas Tree Recycling
6400 Peachtree Dunwoody Rd NE, Sandy Springs, GA | Get Directions »
FREE
Keep Georgia Beautiful, the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, The Home Depot, 11Alive, Ferry-Morse, Earth911.com, and The Davey Tree Expert Company have teamed up to sponsor this statewide Bring One For The Chipper program.
Bring your undecorated Christmas tree to be mulched! Mulch will be used for public beautification projects and also will be delivered free to Metro Atlanta residents upon request (click here for more info).
Residents can also recycle old lights, decorations, and ornaments. They must be separated from the tree in advance.
Courtesy of Ferry-Morse Seed Company (and while supplies last), vegetable and flower seed packets will be given to those bringing trees for recycling.
Last year, more than 250,000 trees in Georgia were mulched and since the programs start in 1991, an estimated 5 million trees have been recycled.
