This meeting is open to anyone (parents, teachers, school nutrition staff, administrators, community members, Master Gardeners, farmers, organizations, government agencies, etc-) interested in participating in a DeKalb County Farm to School program.
Enjoy a tour of the Chesnut garden and learn how other DeKalb schools are using their gardens as teaching tools.
Tours of the garden start at 4:30pm. The Stakeholders Meeting will be from 5:30pm-6:45pm in the cafeteria.

More About Chesnut Charter Elementary School
Chesnut Charter Elementary School opened in 1968 and has been a charter school since the 2000-2001 school year. The pre-kindergarten to 3rd grade school places an emphasis on basic skills, as well as phonics, enrichment and technology programs. The charter program includes parent volunteering throughout the building and on many school committees.
