Wine Tasting in Dunwoody Thursday

The Atlanta chapter of the American Wine Society is holding an open event at d'Vine Wine Bar at the Shoppes of Dunwoody.

An "All Things Pinot" wine tasting is being held Thursday at D'Vine Wine Bar in Dunwoody.

The event, held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., will live up to its name. Tastings of Pinot Noirs, Pinot Blancs, Pinot Grigios, Pinotages and Pinot Gris will be a part of the tasting.

In total, 50 different domestic and international red, white, rose and sparkling wines are being offered in the public tasting.

"Pinot grapes produce wines that are especially suited for summer,” said Don Reddicks, who founded the Greater Atlanta Chapter of the American Wine Society.

A few months ago, a list on Gayot.com, named three Dunwoody wine bars in the top ten wine bars in Atlanta. The list includes Alon’s Bakery & Market, d’Vine Wine Bar & Shop and the E. 48th Street Market.

Thursday's event is being sponsored by the Atlanta Chapter of the American Wine Society.

Admission is $30 in advance, $35 at the door. Reservations may be made by
credit card to donaredd@aol.com. The local chapter of the wine society is a registered nonprofit.
