What Would You Improve in Dunwoody in 2013?

If you could make a New Year's resolution for Dunwoody, what would it be?

More than 45 percent of Americans make a resolution every year, according to statisticbrain.com. Some people vow to live a healthier lifestyle, others promise to spend more time with family, and many say they will try to save money.

As millions of Americans make resolutions to improve their lives, what could we do right here in Dunwoody to make it an even better place to live?

Tell us in the comment section below or blog about why you love living here, or what you would do to improve our communities!

We need to get rid of the current city council and manager and replace them with individuals who are capable of mature/independent thinking and not feel as though they need to confer with a neighborhood association.

I belive this will happen eventually, but until it does, the City of Dunwoody is destined for years of wasted money and bad press.

Ann
Rob, I agree with you 100%!!! The city of Dunwoody is the laughing stock of this entire area. It will never amount to anything as long as it is ruled by insufferable snobs - who think they died & went to heaven just because they LIVE in DUNWOODY!!!!! I've often wondered out loud - why don't they just build a "moat, wall & drawbridge around the place" and charge a Toll for entering."

Ann, the moat has been discussed and investigated. However, the Georgia DNS and the Fed (EPA) ruled it not possible due to the current Lake Lanier levels. As lake levels rise there will be ab RFP issued. The wall is tricky. The price to transport Colonial-style cobblestone from New England is cost prohibitive and the DHA said it can only be built with cobblestone from the Plymouth Rock area. And the day-laborers over off Tilly Mill have organized and now demand $12 an hour for any work more than raking leaves into a pile.

Rob has been running his mouth here for a long ime but has yet to announce his campaign for council. Rob is a keyboard commando, usually working the mouse with one hand keeping his other hand... uhh, free to do other things.

Bad press is okay with me. It lets everyone know not to come here with your apartment blueprints. it also sends a message to the low-information voter to stay away. Why are we a laughing stock? It is because of Jimmie and Rob and Bonser, and Joe, and the wanna-be tree huggers who themselves drive around in an SUV, live in 5000 sq foot homes, eat out nightly, blah blah blah.

DWM...nice free shot denture sucker. As for me, not a tree hugger, just one seeking true democracy from a council hell bent on serving special interests. SUV? check. Believing in supporting local businesses and need the write off. 5000 sq foot home? Which one of four do you refer to? Eat out nightly? Nope..waiting for it to be more convenient when there is only one lane each way through dunwoody village and can take pot shots at the hundreds of progressive young couples wheeling their 12 bags of groceries home while dangling their kid in traffic (what kind of moron actually thinks this progressive utopia works here??)..blah, blah, blah? I'll leave that to you and Rob. Happy New Year everyone!

If I were Jason, I would convert the Patch over to Facebook only login posts like one of his competitors did.

But wait, then the troll would just post as "Gladys Cravitz" & "Earnest T" like he does on other sites :-(

We have already received one improvement, a new Chick-fil-A at Williamsburg. Good food, Christian owned, and a "gay free" zone for the family.

jimmie - interesting that you and Rob are both homo phobes. Could it be you are secret lovers?

Between straight and gay, I choose straight. The old homo phobe don't apply. Just a poor excuse by the intolerant who demand tolerance.
