Sustainability Group to Meet
The group is continuing to advocate for eco-friendly solutions for Dunwoody. The meetings are open to the public.
A planning meeting of the city’s sustainability group is set for 7 p.m. Nov. 5 at City Hall to discuss the eco-friendly goals the community has for Dunwoody.
A meeting of the Sustainability Commission follows a few days later at 7:45 a.m. Nov. 8.
The mission of the commission is to help the city adopt models for conserving energy, using renewable energy, and helping to restore the community’s natural resources.
The idea is to have the government reduce its “footprint” on resources. The commission and its memebers also are involvd in community outreach and education.
The public is elcome to attend, especially the morning discussion sessions.
