Saturday is Clean, Fix and Shine-up Dunwoody Day

Volunteer event expects between 800 and 1,000 volunteers

This Saturday, between 800 and 1,000 volunteers are expected to participate in Clean, Fix and Shine-up Dunwoody, an annual clean up the city, event organizers said.

Volunteers will meet at 7:30 a.m. at North Atlanta Church of Christ to kick-off the event and then head to different locations across Dunwoody to take part in a variety of activities in the day-long event.

“The people in our area are our greatest asset and their unwavering ability to selflessly give back to the community speaks volumes,” said Dunwoody City Councilman Denny Shortal, in a press release. "We are touched by the commitment and support of our volunteers, as Clean, Fix and Shine-Up Dunwoody Day brings new life to Dunwoody’s parks, city infrastructure, roadways and works of charity because they go the extra mile to make a positive contribution to our community."
