Sandy Benefit To Be Held Saturday at High Road Craft Ice Cream

The backers of local eateries are coming together for a "New York State of Mind" fundraiser, with 100 percent going to relief efforts.

The backers of some local eateries are hosting a New York-inspired dinner as a benefit for the ongoing cleanup of Hurricane Sandy.

Executive chef Keith Schroeder, of High Road Craft Ice Cream and Sorbet, and Ron Eyester, executive chef and owner of Rosebud and The Family Dog, are organizing the event to be held 7 p.m. Saturday.

Organizers say that 100 percent of the ticket sales will go to relief efforts for Sandy.

Live music is planned with the dinner, which will feature pastrami sandwiches, chicken parmesan, pizza hot dogs and other New York-inspired items.

Cocktails will be a part of the event and also in a nod to the northeast. Long Island Ice Tea will be the signature drink.

New Yorker and radio personality Mara Davis will emcee the event.

Tickets are no longer available online but can be purchased at the door. For more information and reservations go to the Rosebud website or High Road Craft.

The event will be held in a heated tent at High Road Craft Ice Cream parking lot.
