Perimeter Mall Retailers Sweeten the Pot on Christmas Discounts
Some of the national chain retailers are offering last minute discounts in the face of lower than expected numbers so far this holiday season.
Did you wait to the last minute to shop for Christmas? Depending on who you are buying for, you could be in luck.
The Associated Press is reporting that Aeropostale and American Eagle Outfitters - both chains have stores in Perimeter Mall - are offering deep discounts to draw people in the last few days before the season is over.
The reason: a slower than expected season for retailers who make up to 40 percent of their revenue during the holidays.
Both teen chains are offering sweeping deals. Aeropostale is offering a 60 percent discount on all of its clothes and American Eagle has discounted its clothes by 40 percent across the board, according to the AP.
Looking for some deals online? Children's Place, which sells children's clothes, is offering up to 75 percent on items through its website.
And if you're last minute shopping this weekend, don't forget about the Macy's 48-hour non-stop shopping. They'll be open from at 7 a.m. Friday to 7 a.m.
The department-store chain at Perimeter Mall says they don't plan on any last-minute discounts.

The 22 shopliftings, sudden snatchings, car break-ins, etc.. Kind of stuff that happens when MARTA is too close to a well-off side of town mall
