Is A New Hotel in Dunwoody's Future?

The Dunwoody Community Council has approved plans for a major new hotel and retail development on Ashford Dunwoody Road.

The Dunwoody Community Council has approved of a plan to build a new, $25 million hotel and retail center at the corner of Ashford Dunwoody Road and Perimeter Center North.

The Reporter Newspapers said the council voted 5-1 at its Thursday night meeting to recommend approval of the project to Dunwoody officials.

Council member Rick Callihan voted against the project.

Heneghan's Dunwoody Blog is reporting that the development calls for a six-story hotel, coffee shop, several retail shops and restaurant on Ashford Dunwoody Road at Perimeter Center North on the Sterling Point office complex.

The site is located directly across the street from the California Pizza Kitchen.

Hamton Inn? Really? Brookhaven just landed a full service Hyatt, with a roof top pool and bar. I hope Fran Millar or Tom Taylor fixes this situation. No way do we settle for a Hampton Inn. At least an Embassy Suites!

Hilton now owns Hampton Inn and this will be the new all Suite concept at the Sterling Point location on Ashford-Dunwoody; if it is approved by the City Council

What a joke that last Community Council meeting was. Go and review the recording on-line. That little Italian man wanted to allow for the building to be 8 stories tall even though the application was for 5 stories. He's not representing Dunwoody citizens best interest with his antics. He's one of Bonser's stooges!

"Is" what is?

Nothing has really changed; some people are small, mean-spirited toads, even in a time when electronic snoops, technical wizards, and geeks with less-than-stellar motives can identify with certainty who is who.

Some in Dunwoody can be so myopic.
