Facebook Responds to Hit and Run Victim Who Lost Her Dog
Facebook has seen an outpouring of support for the victim and Lola the lost puppy.
Earlier this week, Patch reported that a victim of a hit-and-run is looking for her puppy, which ran away after the incident.
Sad to report, but Lola the lost puppy hasn't been found. But the victim has found a wellspring of support on Facebook.
The Brook Run Dog Park reported that, "I hung 3 posters about Lola at the dog park and told everyone there about her. Many of them took photos of the poster so they have the info and can share it. I also hung posters at the BP station at the east end of Cotillion and at the Shell station at the west end."
Another reader said, "I feel for this women, It would drive me crazy if something happened to my four legged babies, their all I have.I hope she finds her baby."
Police say the woman was walking her dog Tuesday night when she was struck by a vehicle in front of 1850 Cotillion Drive. The victim suffered minor injuries, but her dog ran away.
Here are some of the other comments that have made their way into the social media world:
"What a cute sweet baby. Will keep an eye out for him!"
"Please help us get sidewalks on Cotillion! It is such a high foot traffic area!"
"Please tell us if u find the puppy! Poor woman went through enough only to suffer the loss of her new puppy!!!"
