High School Students in Cook-off at Art Institute

Students will have two hours to prepare a two-course meal in the professional training kitchens.

 

 

Ten metro area high school seniors, who happen to be aspiring chefs will participate in a cook-off competition on Saturday at the Art Institute of Atlanta.

Students will have two hours to prepare a two-course meal in the professional training kitchens. The meal includes Shrimp Cocktail, Sautéed Chicken Breast with Creative Garnish, Rice Pilaf and Broccoli Sauté. 

Judging will be based on five technical skills including knife skills and organization, cooking techniques and presentation.

Winners will be announced during an awards ceremony at 4 p.m., and have a chance to win tuition scholarships to the Art Institute of Atlanta.
