  •  HENNA ART

    When/Where: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Dunwoody Library, 5339 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd

    Why go: Bindu from Elegant Henna will teach teens ages 13-17 years old about the ancient art of henna.

    How much: Free.

    • POOL PARTY WITH AUTHOR SUE RODMAN

    When/Where: 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Friday at Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta, 5342 Tilly Mill Rd (Zaban Park)

    Why go: Bring your family and enjoy an early evening at the MJCCA pool featuring Sue Rodman, founder of the “Field Trips with Sue” Blog and author of 100+ Free & Cheap Things to Do in Atlanta with Kids. Bring your own picnic dinner or purchase hamburgers, hotdogs, chips and a drink.

    How much: Free. Open to all. 

    • TEEN DRIVING CLASS

    When/Where: Saturday & Sunday, City of Dunwoody, 41 Perimeter Ctr E

    Why go: Run by Dunwoody Police this two-day course, 4 hours of instruction and 8 hours behind-the-wheel training, teaches Collision Avoidance Training, advanced defensive driving and vehicle control, and is open to all new drivers 16 & up with a valid license. To enroll your child, call 1-800-656-6507.

    How much: $125 per student

    • FAMILY ZUMBA

    When/Where: 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta, 5342 Tilly Mill Rd (Zaban Park)

    Why go: Best for children 5 years old and up and a parent or grandparent, Zumba is the latin-inspired, easy to follow, calorie-burning, fitness party. 

    How much: Free. Open to all.

    •  ADOPT A PET

      When/Where: 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Perimeter PetSmart, 128 Perimeter Ctr W

      Why go: Give a puppy or dog a loving home! Every Saturday & Sunday, the Homeless Pets Foundation has pets available for adoption at PetSmart.

      How much: Free to attend. Minimum donation required for adoption.
