When/Where: Saturday & Sunday, City of Dunwoody, 41 Perimeter Ctr E

Why go: Run by Dunwoody Police this two-day course, 4 hours of instruction and 8 hours behind-the-wheel training, teaches Collision Avoidance Training, advanced defensive driving and vehicle control, and is open to all new drivers 16 & up with a valid license. How much: $125 per student

• FAMILY ZUMBA

When/Where: 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta, 5342 Tilly Mill Rd (Zaban Park)

Why go: Best for children 5 years old and up and a parent or grandparent, Zumba is the latin-inspired, easy to follow, calorie-burning, fitness party.

When/Where: 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Perimeter PetSmart, 128 Perimeter Ctr W

Why go: Give a puppy or dog a loving home! Every Saturday & Sunday, the Homeless Pets Foundation has pets available for adoption at PetSmart.

How much: Free to attend. Minimum donation required for adoption.
