Five Things To Do This Weekend
Here's a list of some cool events going on this weekend Oct. 6 and Oct. 7.
Dunwoody Cycling, on the Dark Side, has a 35 mile strenuously paced, "hang or be dropped" ride starting at 5:30 a.m. Saturday from Dunwoody High School.
Hammond Glen Senior Community's Annual Fall Carnival will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and all ages are invited to the family-friendly event. Food, games and prizes and a petting zoo will be offered at the festival in what is supposed to be great fall weather.
A Howl-o-Weenie Dachsund Festival will be at Brook Run Park at 10 a.m. Saturday. The festival features costumes, a "Dachsund dunk," races and a doggie bingo game.
James Casto and the Nashville Songwriters Tour kicks off a new concert series at 5 p.m. Friday at Roswell's Chatahoochee Nature Center.
The Stage Door Players are holding showings of their new play "Out of Order," a farce written by Ray Cooney. Check her for times Saturday and Sunday.
