Dunwoody Police Look For Contractor Con Man
Police are advising residents to be wary of contractors - especially around the holidays.
Dunwoody Police are warning residents to beware of contractors who are soliciting business - especially during the holiday.
Recently a suspect was given $1,500 by a city resident to build cabinets. After the down payment, the man didn't perform the work.
Police have issued a warrant for the man for theft by deception, according to police.
Police advise to check the references of contractors who are new to you and also check to see if they are licensed and insured before agreeing to employ them or giving them money up front.
