The Chattahoochee Riverkeeper organization is hosting a workshop on water conservation through the use of rain barrels Oct. 18 at Dunwoody City Hall.

The nonprofit organization has been working with Coca-Cola to distribute 60-gallon syrup containers that can be used by homeowners to harvest rain water for use in the yard.

The workshop will teach homeowners about water conservation, water-wise garding techniques and rain barrel installation.

The organization has been partnering with the city of Dunwoody for the last few months.
